Be Aware of CameraWare

Most of the reviews here are of webcam sites featuring many hot (and, hopefully, large) babes doing their thing on camera. CameraWare, though, is a little bit different. It’s more along the lines of Camgirlshide in that you can’t chat directly with the women on the CameraWare site. Instead, you download the CameraWare program to your computer, then visit other sites to find the women.

When you first visit the CameraWare site, you’ll need to download their free video chat program. This program really is free, too – you can broadcast yourself and view other webcams running CameraWare for free. Of course, there’s a catch: the free version times out every five minutes. To get around this, you have to buy a license. A one month license is $14.95, which isn’t that bad. You can get discounts, too, if you buy multiple months’ worth at once (a three year license, the most expensive license, is $139.95). Think of how much you spend on private chat time at Spread4U or the monthly fee on sites like Cambang. $14.95 is much cheaper than both of those!

You’ll find a text chat room on the main page of CameraWare, but this is mainly to talk with other users of the software and get help with the software if you are having difficulties. To find the babes, you have to go to the “Free CW Communities” area after installing the software.

Just browsing through the list, I didn’t see any site dedicated to big, porky girls. But maybe there are fat chicks on some of the other sites listed? I decided to start out with WEBCAMS2 and see where that took me.

The site was very confusing at first, but I did finally figure out how to view Aelita’s camera. I must say that I wasn’t that impressed, mainly because of the camera quality. It’s nowhere near what you’d find on other webcam sites like SecretFriends or Flirt4Free. She had the cam zoomed in really close and wouldn’t zoom out, so all I could see was her face. She looked a little chubby, but it’s really hard to tell. The cam refresh rate was very slow, too – of course, the solution to that is to buy a license. Once you upgrade to a licensed version of CameraWare, you can view cams in better quality. Ah, yet another catch!

The Society of Sinners CameraWare community sounded interesting, so I clicked on their link. Now that I knew how to navigate through a CameraWare site, it was much easier getting to the right place on the Society of Sinners. However, CameraWare doesn’t have any kind of categorization or organization, so finding BBWs isn’t as easy as I’d like it to be. I did find Wowie, who is a bit on the chunky side, but she’s nothing like the fat girls we’ve seen on other sites. We chatted a little, but she really wasn’t even that interesting to talk to.

I also noticed Aelita on the list of webcams again. In fact, all of the names seemed to be a repeat of those I saw over on WEBCAMS2. I know CameraWare has everyone log into their server, not a server on the individual websites, so it’s possible all the sites go to the same list of webcams….

I next checked out Hotcams, which had some of the same girls online, but not all of them. There were a few different girls, including Pure Angel. Just like all the others, though, she wasn’t anywhere near the size I like. Unlike Wowie, Pure Angel was a lot of fun to chat with, but that doesn’t do any good if she’s not the type of girl I want. While it was nice to find a girl on a CameraWare site who enjoyed chatting, I do wish she would have been more exciting.

The girls on CameraWare sites seem to have no issue getting naked on camera, but some of them weren’t and wouldn’t. It seems to be a mixed bag – if the girl is willing, she will get nude, but if she isn’t, then she won’t and nothing will make her.

All in all, I have to say that I found no really large girls on the CameraWare sites, and that made me pretty sad. The software really isn’t that great, either, unless you buy a license. The quality just isn’t that good. If you want to see what CameraWare is all about, go ahead and download it since it’s free, but don’t buy a license until you’ve checked out the sites and the girls.
